  • My life. My photos. My blog

    Hi there, and welcome to my blog! As a pet photographer I am truly blessed to be able to witness and capture that special bond that people have with the pets in their lives. This blog is my way of giving back a little piece of myself to those who are kind enough to welcome me into their lives and their homes. In these pages I hope to share the everyday moments, photos, and stories, from my own life, that make me tick, as well as a few beautiful images of the wonderful relationships I am asked to capture along the way.

    Please feel free to plop down on the couch with a big, warm blanket before reading...I wouldn't have it any other way. -Becky

Even when I come home to this…

Because, afterall, I left it within her reach, and I know all about her love for all things plastic (like TV remotes and cell phones)…and seriously, you try staying mad at that face…

::sigh:: I love my dog.

P.S. The hard drive still works.:-P

Sandra Kostka - As all of us dog lovers have learned … we must set our pets up for success and keep stuff out of their reach :)

Maria - hehe, very cute. I can relate.

Jeni - Oh noooo! That’s terrible. I am puppy sitting right now and a very nice pair of heels now RIP.

friends of phaneuf: brandy

Brandy is our neighbors’ Great Dane (yeah, we like our dogs on the giant side on our block).  She has beautifully brindled fur, and is a sweet, sweet girl.  She’s also quite the leaner–if you find yourself next to her petting her side, be prepared to put some effort into keeping upright!  More than once I’ve reached over our fence to give her a little side rub and caught myself wondering whether or not the fence will hold up.

Below are a few pics of Brandy enjoying the afternoon sun back in April…

At just a couple of months younger than Phaneuf (albeit a bit more energetic), the two of them make quite the pair.  If one dog notices the other out in her yard, you can bet there will be some whining and pawing at the door to follow.  As you can see in the picture below both girls have worn a  path chasing each other up and down their respective sides of our fence.  Occasionally, they enjoy play dates at our house…and wow, those girls play hard.  I swear there are some leaps and bounds that are straight out of a National Geographic film, and you definitely don’t want to be in their path as they come charging through the yard!
