Bentley and Tia are quite the odd couple. At eight (nine?) years old, Bentley is the crotchety old man of the house and Tia, the spry young pup. I had a lot of fun watching the dynamic between the two of them and their 18 month human sister when we were at their home for their session in June.
Tia has a heartbreaking rescue story. Our friends, Dave and Colleen, own a couple of rental properties in the area and were having some issues with a tenant. After some complaints and trouble contacting the gentleman, Dave made a trip over to the home and found Tia locked in one of the bedrooms. He could tell the renter had been there recently and left trying to reach the tenant again. When he returned a couple of days later to clean out the home he found Tia, still locked in the room, the door and carpeting all scratched up. She had been left behind. Dave and Colleen brought Tia home and made an effort to find a new home for her, but after a while she won them over.
This last shot is my fave. Babies + doggies = *swoon*
