Thanks to a mutual friend, I have had the pleasure of knowing Isaac since he was just a little white ball of fluff. He is the first “giant” dog I ever spent significant time with, and my experiences with Isaac were often recalled when my husband, Ryan, and I were making our decision to get a giant of our own.
When we had our session together it had been about five years since I had last seen Isaac. It was so nice to see him again, and to catch up with Kara. The two of us shared lots of stories about owning a large dog…fielding questions about our dogs’ eating habits (no they don’t eat that much) and shedding tendencies (yep, we have fur–and drool–everywhere), finding new ways to laugh off the “Oh my gosh I thought that was a bear!” comments, and explaining to people that it is not at all necessary to have a large house or yard in order to have a large dog.
We started our morning together near the river in Stillwater and then moved to Kara and Isaac’s home for some unleashed photos in the backyard. While I always enjoy home sessions (it is where the heart is afterall), it was lots of fun to be able to wander the town with the two of them. I love that I was able to get some photos of Isaac and Kara together. Let me repeat: I LOVE when clients want to be included in the photos with their pets! (*hint, hint*) I honestly think that you can not go wrong by getting some images of the two and four-legged family members together, and I guarantee that those photos will become priceless to you as the years go on.
It was difficult to narrow them down, but here are a few of my favorites from Isaac’s session…
